Barack Obama’s successful campaign of 2008 has been widely discussed and analyzed by numerous think tanks in order to identify which elements are transposable within the French context. Under the impetus of the three “Bostonians” who participated in the Democratic campaign, the Socialist Party developed a system of door-to-door canvasing, coordinated by the website toushollande.fr. In this paper, we wish to analyze how the toushollande.fr website uses its design to directly convey the desire to decompartmentalize the activities of the party supporters and gives a material form to promises for renewal of the Socialist Party.
