Think tanks tend to present work undertaken by experts as work that is produced outside of any political considerations. On the contrary, this article studies how this work can be considered as a political activity. In order to do this, we use Terra Nova, a French think tank, for the basis of our study. On the one hand, the work undertaken by experts appears as a contribution to the production of public policies. On the other hand, experts consider this same activity as a way of being politically engaged.
